Biography: Browning began skating at the age of three and soon began winning local competitions. When he was eleven years old, he placed second in the novice division at the Canadian Championships.
Browning turned professional in 1988 and quickly became one of the most popular and successful figure skaters in the world. He has won four World Championships and three Olympic medals (one silver and two bronze). He is also the only skater to land a quadruple jump in competition.
Browning has skated in numerous shows and television specials. He has also been the subject of two documentaries: "To Skate With Kurt Browning" (1991) and "Kurt Browning: A Life on the Edge" (1997).
