Abba Kyari In Fresh Trouble As NDLEA Declares Him Wanted

The embattled and suspended former head of the Inspector General of Police Intelligence Response Team (IRT), DCP Abba Kyari has been declared wanted by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA). Naija News gathered the embattled super-cop was declared wanted by the drug enforcement agency over links to some drug offences. According to the spokesperson of the NDLEA, Femi Babafemi during a press briefing on Monday, Kyari is being investigated over links to a global syndicate of drug dealers.

Boko Haram: FG Has Abandoned Chibok Girls Parent, School

Senator Ali Ndume (APC-Borno South) has accused the Muhammadu Buhari-led government of abandoning the Chibok community and the parents of the girls abducted by Boko Haram terrorists. Recall that insurgents had attacked Chibok and abducted  276 schoolgirls in 2014. Speaking to newsmen on Friday, the lawmaker accused the government of failing to rebuild the Government Girls Secondary School, Chibok, destroyed by Boko Haram seven years ago. Ndume, who is also the Chairman, Senate Committee on Army, said the federal government had also adopted the Borno State-owned college.

In separate telephone interviews with Punch, the Nigerian migrants expressed their fear of attacks as death threats were being circulated on social media. A Nigerian, Itunu Bodunrin, who on Monday had attended his master’s degree graduation ceremony at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, Durban, was unable to leave the school campus afterwards due to the violence in the town.
