President Bola Tinubu has approved the suspension, removal, and replacement of the Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) under the Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development. In a statement on Wednesday, the presidential spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale, said the decision was in line with Tinubu’s determination to bring world-class standards to Nigerian Civil Aviation in consumer protection and the promotion of the well-being of Nigerian passengers and other sectoral stakeholders.
Ngelale said the Managing Director of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Kabir Yusuf Mohammed, has been removed from office and replaced with Olubunmi Oluwaseun Kuku as the substantive Managing Director of the authority.
Ahead of the 2023 general elections, Governor Dave Umahi of Ebonyi State disclosed on Tuesday that the All Progressives Congress (APC) is expecting a harvest of new members across the country. Speaking in Abakaliki while inaugurating the newly-elected local government chairmen of APC in the state, he charged them to scout for new members for the party.
Umahi asserted that the APC has now became a household name in Ebonyi State and the South-east because of his defection to the party from the PDP in 2020.
