- The Federal High Court in Abuja has proscribed IPOB all over Nigeria - It also declared the pro-Biafra group a terrorist organisation - This order was filed by the attorney-general of the federation The Federal High Court in Abuja has granted an order declaring the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) as a terrorist organisation. According to Sahara Reporters, this followed an order which was filed by the attorney-general of the federation, Abubakar Malami, on Wednesday, September 20.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced the hosts of the 2025 and 2027 editions of the African Cup of Nations (AFCON). As announced by the African football governing body earlier today, September 27, northern African giants, Morocco have been named the 2025 AFCON hosts. Recall that AFCON 2025 was supposed to be hosted by Guinea but they lost the hosting rights in October 2022 due to poor infrastructural development.

The National Secretary of the Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator John James Akpanudoedehe has resigned. It was gathered that Akpanudoedehe had left the party’s national secretariat at Blantyre Street, Wuse 2, Abuja, with all his belongings. The former lawmaker reportedly tendered his resignation letter to the acting chairman of the APC, Governor Abubakar Sani-Bello. Naija News reports that his resignation may be connected to the sack of Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State and subsequent takeover of party leadership by Governor Sani-Bello.
