The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has announced the seizure of 1.8 tonnes of cocaine reportedly worth “N194 billion” in Ikorodu, Lagos state. Naija News reports that this was made known on Monday by NDLEA’s Spokesperson, Femi Babafemi. The operations which was described as the “biggest singular cocaine seizure” in the agency’s history was carried out at a warehouse in the Ikorodu area of the state. According to the statement, amongst those arrested by the NDLEA is a Jamaican identified as Kelvin Smith who is part of an international drug syndicate.
