Following the clamour for quality representation of Abia North at the Senate, a group known as Progressive Ambassadors For Good Governance has urged Senator Mao Ohuabunwa, to join the contest for the senatorial seat in 2023. This is coming after stakeholders in the zone last week appealed to Senator Ohuabunwa, to make himself available for the senatorial race in 2023. The group said that the appeal had become necessary due to the compelling need for Abia North which has almost become “voiceless and a comic relief at the 9th Senate” to regain its dignity and voice.

He said this on Thursday, at a meeting between APC members of the House and National Working Committee (NWC) members of the party led by the Chairman, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, at the National Assembly.
